Win The Day is an Australian not-for-profit charity dedicated to supporting families facing a rare childhood cancer diagnosis—both emotionally and financially.

​

Their mission includes providing essential assistance such as:

​

• Accommodation grants for families who must travel long distances for treatment

• Nutritious meal support to keep carers strong through long days

• Treatment support grants to help with unexpected costs

• Rebuild experiences that allow families to reconnect and heal together

 

Win The Day also raises funds for scientific research into rare childhood cancers, while advocating for families so no one has to face the journey alone.

Founded by Kristy Giteau, inspired by her daughter Ka’ili’s cancer journey, the charity was born from a desire to ensure families can go to bed each night knowing they have “won the day.”

At Books In-Sight Canberra, we will be donating proceeds from the event to Win The Day—because this event isn’t just about authors and readers, it’s about community, compassion, and giving back.
