📚 For Readers
Where can I buy tickets? Tickets are available exclusively through TryBooking. Links are provided on each event page.
Can I buy tickets at the door? Tickets usually sell out before the event, so we strongly recommend purchasing in advance through TryBooking to avoid missing out.
Are tickets refundable or transferable? Refunds follow TryBooking’s policy. You may transfer or sell your ticket to another attendee. It MUST be sold for the same amount you purchased it for. If you need to sell or transfer your ticket, contact us via email for further details.
Can I bring my own books to sign? Yes! You can bring previously purchased books to be signed by attending authors.
Will there be food and drinks? Most venues include on-site cafés or nearby options. Check each event’s info page for details. We either have water stations or bottled water available at all our events.
Can I get photos with the authors? Definitely! Most authors love taking photos with readers. We just ask you to be respectful and check with each author first.
Are events accessible? We aim to select fully accessible venues. Accessibility details are listed on each event page. If you have any accessibility concerns, please email us.
Will there be photos taken? Yes – we love capturing the excitement and have our own photographer at each event. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let our team know during check in on the day.
Can I post photos or videos from the event? Please do. We love seeing your posts. Tag us using #BooksInSightEvents or the event hashtag for a chance to be featured.

How do I apply to attend? EOI applications are available via Google Forms links on our website. Head to ____ to express your interest.
What’s included with my table fee? Each signing includes one table, two chairs, catering, and event promotion. Details vary per event, but we always state in our invitation emails what is included.
When will I be announced? Author announcements follow a set schedule shared with confirmed authors.
Can I share a table? It's not something we offer, but if it's something you are interested in, please contact us. Table sharing must be pre-approved, so we ask that you contact us before organising with another author.
Do the authors work for Books In-Sight Events? No. Attending authors are independent writers or businesses. We host and promote them but do not manage their sales, business operations or take profits from their sales.
What if I have a dispute or issue with an author? We recommend contacting the author directly first. If the matter remains unresolved, email us and we’ll handle it fairly.
🛍️ For Vendors
How do I apply to be a vendor? Vendor EOI forms are linked on the “For Vendors” page.
What types of vendors do you accept? We welcome bookish vendors – candles, bookmarks, crafts, accessories and more.
Do I need public liability insurance? No. The venue and BIS have insurance. We do recommend having something in place to insure you for your products (if necessary) as we only have liability for our event, not products sold there.
When can I set up my stall? We aim to have access to the event space at least 2 hours prior to our events, but exact setup times and bump-in details will be emailed before each event.
💜 Community & Charities
Do you work with charities? Each Books In-Sight event highlights a local charity to give back to the community. We donate proceeds from raffles and fundraising activities directly to the named organisation.
Are you affiliated with those charities? No. We support charities but are not affiliated with them. We simply aim to raise funds and awareness while celebrating books, authors, and community spirit.

Can children attend? Yes! Our events are family-friendly, though we do recommend parental discretion as some author content may include mature themes.
